Bernard Letendre brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role as President of Manulife Investments. Before joining Manulife Investments, Bernard was Managing Director of Manulife Private Wealth where he leveraged the experience he gained in senior leadership positions at BMO Private Banking, Standard Life and Investors Group to foster the development of a client-focused team of private bankers and investment counselors.
Bernard holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in law from the University of Montreal, is a member of the Quebec Bar and is a published legal author. He has held Board positions with a number of high-profile non-profit organizations including Les Grand Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, the National Gallery of Canada Foundation and La Fondation du Dr. Julien.
Bernard holds a third degree black belt in Judo and is an instructor at the University of Toronto Judo Club. He lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
Raymond Chan is currently the Manager of the Investment Funds and Structured Products Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). Raymond has been in the Investment Funds area since joining the OSC in 2001. He has a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Raymond is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a CFA charterholder.
In conjunction with the Canadian Securities Administrators, the Investment Funds and Structured Products Branch is responsible for all aspects of the regulation of investment products, including the review of prospectuses, considering applications for discretionary relief and developing investment fund regulation and policy. The Branch also monitors and responds to emerging product developments and innovations in the investment fund industry, including exchange-traded funds and structured products.
Rick Headrick is President of Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. In this role, Mr. Headrick has overall responsibility for the development, management and growth of the investment company. Mr. Headrick works with investment colleagues across Canada, the United States and Asia to encourage investment product development and facilitate the sharing of knowledge across Sun Life Financial’s investment management community. Mr. Headrick joined Sun Life in 2004 and has held several senior leadership roles across the company’s wealth platform. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. He also holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

Atul Tiwari is managing director and head of Vanguard Investments Canada Inc.
Before joining Vanguard in May 2011, Mr. Tiwari held progressively senior positions at Bank of Montreal Financial Group (BMO). The most recent of which was senior vice president of BMO Asset Management and founding president of BMO Exchange Traded Funds. Before that, he was president of BMO's U.S. subsidiary mutual fund business, Harris Insight Funds. Other prior experience includes practising law, having been called to the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
Mr. Tiwari is the chairman and a director of the Canadian ETF Association. He is a director of the D.D. Foundation, which provides medical care and education to the disadvantaged in India. He is a member of the Ontario Securities Commission's Investment Funds Product Advisory Committee. He is an honorary trustee of the Royal Ontario Museum, having served as a director on the board of trustees and as chairman of the pension committee. He was a campaign cabinet member for the Neshama Universal Playground. He served on the Building Osgoode campaign cabinet and is a past president and director of the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Association. He is the Cellerier for the Toronto Sous Commanderie of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.

Nick leads the product management and product development team at RBC Global Asset Management in the US. Through analysis of institutional investment trends and products, Nick and the team prepare recommendations that inform the firm’s business and new product development strategies. He also contributes to the design and implementation of marketing plans for our current offerings by providing detailed competitive analysis and product positioning data. Before transitioning to product management and analysis at RBC, he provided marketing support for the firm and our mutual fund family. Nick joined RBC GAM-US in 2007. Today he has over 16 years in industry experience, which includes over 8 years in institutional product management and 8 years in wealth management product research. Nick’s industry experience also includes manager selection and due diligence for a wealth management firm and financial planning and client service for clients at UBS. He earned a BA in economics from the University of Minnesota.
Mark works at HollisWealth as the Vice President, Advisor Strategy & Support, coaching the Top 65 Advisors on strategic planning and execution.
He is a driven and results oriented financial services executive, with proven retail sales leadership, strategic planning/coaching and Broker/Dealer expertise acquired in the Canadian and U.S. financial services industry.
Mark possesses a solid background in critical business disciplines including; retail business and sales strategy, practice management, dealer operations, strategic initiatives, risk management, business development and change management.
Having been in the financial services industry for 26 years, he started as a Financial Advisor in NYC and went on to hold progressively senior management positions at Prudential Securities, Assante Wealth Management and currently HollisWealth.
He has demonstrated a proven ability to manage P & L, set direction, build consensus, effect change and attain results.
He is a strategic thinker, with an inspirational leadership style and a strong boardroom presence.

As President of Retail Distribution, Jeff is responsible for directing the distribution of John Hancock Investments’ mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, and 529 College Savings plans. In this role he oversees the management of 175 employees with responsibilities in sales, national accounts, reporting analytics and sales operations. With his 23 years of industry experience and a member of the group’s executive management team, Jeff helps shape and execute on the group’s vision and strategic planning.
Jeff joined John Hancock in 1993 and he has been a wholesaler, divisional sales manager, national sales manager and head of distribution. At John Hancock, Jeff served as the National Sales Manager for the Financial Planner and Financial Institutional channel and Divisional Sales Manager for the Midwest and Southeast Regions. In addition, Jeff was National Sales Manager for Market Investment Distributors, a subsidiary of J.C. Bradford & Co.

Jeff is an Avid supporter of Clemson University and has a passion for live music, boating, water skiing, snow skiing and time with his family.

Joanne De Laurentiis is President & CEO of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). In that role, which she has held since January 2006, Joanne ensures that the perspectives of the mutual fund industry in Canada are communicated to all its stakeholders. She also ensures that IFIC plays a constructive role in the development of effective and efficient regulatory and public policy for the capital markets. She serves on the Board of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA), and oversees secretariat services to the organization which comprises fund associations from 42 countries. She is Chair of IFSE, the education institute providing the mutual fund licensing program and a member of the National News Council.
Joanne’s career has focused on managing and guiding multi-stakeholder financial services organizations. She has served in a leadership capacity for several organizations: as the President & CEO of Credit Union Central of Canada; President of Mondex Canada; and the first President of the Interac Association, Canada’s national debit card payment network. Before joining Interac, she served as Vice President, Public Affairs for the Canadian Bankers Association and as chief of staff to the Minister of Labour, and Minister of Consumer and Commercial Relations in the Ontario Government.
Her past Board service includes: The Toronto Financial Services Alliance, Chair of Ethical Funds, and Credential Financial; Board member of Concentra Financial, Cumis Insurance, Agrifinance, Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation, and the Toronto Board of Trade. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
